Whee!! I officially fired myself from CK Calvin Klein on the last day of January! Although this post comes a little bit late, but hey, ain't i blogging about it now?

Still remember that it was some random morning which i was still half awake, half asleep, when my mum asked me if i want to work in CK and i agreed to go for the interview without knowing what was really going on. Don't know how, but mum's friend's friend happened to be the manager there. 2 hours later after some random morning which i was still half awake, half asleep, i became their staff who started working on the next day. Actually i'm keeping a post which i will update everyday on working experience there but i'm still thinking if i should post it up or not because it's very long.

For people who still haven't get a job (for maybe you want to work in Giorgio Armani instead of Giordano or Morton's rather than Mcdonalds), because you just can't persuade yourself to work in some unreputable companies which u call them, the word i want to give you is NETWORK. The best companies to work for tend to rely heavily (up to 40%) on employee referrals. Make a list of all of your friends, relatives, and acquaintances. Call each one and ask them if they know of any openings that they could recommend you for. Don't be too humble or apologetic; tell them what you've been looking for. About 2 months had passed, so quit being a loser and get a job.

Anyway, i have just collected my January's pay and by right should be richer by another $1245 now. By left, due to CPF, i'm only left with $1007 left=( Come on la, i don't even know that if i can get to live until 55 years old to withdraw these money. I don't mean to use singlish but the "la" just makes the whole sentence sounds better.

Mum demanded that (yes she DEMANDED) i have my pay to be kept inside bank. She even made PLANS for me. Even my last last month's pay ($1146) has to go into the bank too. It was $840 after cpf deduction and before i realised it, i'm only left with $200. I couldn't believed that i actually had spent $600++ in a few days time. Omfg!

Oh by the way, i saw another gold Nike jacket but from different collection in Orchard. I'm not going to say exactly where it is in case some loser gets it before me after reading this.

Okay, tomorrow i'm going to use a little portion of my January's pay and to just buy that nike jacket only. That jacket is only $102 after a 20% discount so shouldn't i just buy that little something to make myself happy?? Moreover $102 isn't a big amount right?? At most i swear that i will only buy that jacket and nothing more. I swear!!

I haven't blogged anything regarding the course i've got into, have i? On the night before sending in my choices, i was still stressing over what to fill in for the rest of the blanks. I was thinking if i should just submit with my 1st few choices and that's it but my friends advised me not to do that. But i was confident that i will get into one of my top 3 choices then. In fact, i was sure that i will get my 1st choice- Hospitality. Come and bite me if you are extremely unhappy of my arrogantness. Bleh.

Needless to say, i hit the jackpot, again. I got into my 1st choice poly/course just like 4 years ago, when WHITLEY was my 1st choice. Erm, that wasn't a very wise choice made several years ago though. My friends said that i was dumb enough to choose NYP because they have this mindset of SP and NP is better cos they're older. Older as in bulidings are around for the longest time? Oh whatever. What i'm thinking is that all polys in Singapore are the same. They are all under MOE's control, aren't they? Hmm.. regarding RP's certificate not being recognised, i'm unsure about that. But i think that RP has more attractive names to their courses compared to the others.

However, i do not think that empolyers will care much about which polytechnic one come out from, they care MORE about what one can do for the company rather than what school one was graduated from. But it seems that the only reason which makes me prefer NYP to the others is it's the only poly which is freaking near my house. Bus fares are scary nowadays. More than $10 spent on travelling to and fro in 3 days, i calculated. Well, at least NYP has the king of junk food! Yes you're right. I'm not there to study but to eat.
